Clubhouse, Singapore
Interlink has installed a solar system
at the roof top of a condominium in Singapore and the solar system is
divided into two groups respectively: 11 strings of PV modules (each
string consists four modules), and a string of seven modules. The grid
inverters convert solar energy to electrical energy & injects into the
grid to provide supply for the lighting.
Building-Integrated PV modules are used to replace conventional building
materials and are being incorporated into the construction of the
clubhouse as a source of electrical power. The replacement using BIPV
modules offset initial cost by reducing the amount spent on building
materials & labor that would normally be used to construct the roof.
Being a grid-tied solar system, it reduces power consumption from the
Grid. Through this green movement, Savannah CondoPark has attained BCA
Green Mark Gold Award in 2005.
This system is a very simple & reliable solar power system which does
not require frequent maintenance. The routine operation cost of this
system is thus negligible.
